The horizontal stabilising surface is made of a continual stabiliser with the right and left parts of the elevator interconnected by the control transmission. The elevator is equipped with an electronic trimming tab. The vertical stabilising surface of a trapeze shape consists of a vertical stabiliser and a rudder.

COCKPIT

 Viper Aircraft Australia

It is designed with the seats configured side by side. The cockpit is covered by a clear or tinted canopy, ensuring a very good visibility. The canopy opens up and backwards for easy access. The locking of the canopy is controlled by two independent levers on the inner sides of the canopy, allowing it to locked with a key. The cockpit is equipped with three air vents, located on the sides of the fuselage and it is ventilated by the ram air, led above and to the sides of the instrument panel, with the possibility to control the through-flow. The crew will appreciate the heating of the cockpit, particularly in winter.

LANDING GEAR

Viper Aircraft Australia

It is tricycle gear configuration. The main landing gear comprises composite springs, the main landing gear is equipped with hydraulic disk brakes. The brakes are controlled centrally by a lever located on the central panel, between the pilots’ seats. The front landing gear wheel is steerable, with all of the wheels streamlined by aerodynamic spats.

CONTROL

Viper Aircraft Australia

Dual controls for both Pilot and Co Pilot. The elevator and the ailerons are controlled via push-pull rods and the rudder is controlled via Bowden cables.
